Common Questions and Answers

  • Where will my procedure be performed at?  Most procedures are performed at the clinic.  We have a procedure room equipped with fluoroscopy. Procedures requiring sedation (i.e. radiofrequency ablation), individuals in need of special assistance, and higher risk procedures are performed as an outpatient at the Heber Springs Baptist Hospital.
  • Do I need a driver for my procedure?  You only need a driver if you are receiving sedation of any type or if you are having a procedure that causes transient weakness/numbness in your extremities such as an epidural.
  • Do I need sedation for my procedure?  Conscious sedation is recommended for a radiofrequency ablation procedure, but it is typically not necessary for most other procedures due to Dr. Widner's technique.
  • Will my insurance cover my procedure?  We will obtain a prior-authorization for your procedure if your insurance allows that.  A prior-authorization approval is the best guarantee you can have for promise of payment.
